On this episode of Pages and Panels, Kyle is joined by writer Bryce Carlson to break down the first issue of his noir comic series Hit. The series Hit by Bryce and artist Vanesa R. Del Rey recently received the Pen and Ink treatment from publisher Boom! Studios. Hit is a detective noir set in 1950's LA with cop hit squads, seductive women, gangsters, and lots of mystery. Bryce discusses writing in a noir voice, pacing a first issue, omniscient narrators, research and how to adjust a story while working with a great artist.
